Moturiki Island
Moturiki Island, known as “Leisure Island” in English, is located just off Mount Maunganui beach. It is connected to the beach by a man-made land bridge. NIWA maintains a tide meter on Moturiki Island.

Kaiate Falls
Walk through the forest to Kaiate Falls, where water tumbles down a ravine in a series of cascades. The swimming hole is located at the base of the lower falls.

Classic Flyers Museum
A group of passionate individuals got together to achieve this dream of creating Classic Flyers to protect the rich and precious history of New Zealand aviation.

The creation of Classic Flyers was funded entirely by these individuals who shared a dream. A venture created by New Zealanders for New Zealanders. As a non-commercial Trust, whatever we make from the museum, on site cafe & shop, and our events goes back into preserving our aviation heritage.
